REC Alpha and Fronius

Fronius is a leading European inverter manufacturer with a support and service organisation in Australia.

6.57 kW (18 x 365W REC Alpha panels) on a Fronius Primo 5.0 inverter (1 or 3 phase homes) for $7,830
13.14 kW (36 x 365W REC Alpha panels) on a Fronius Symo 10.0 inverter (3 phase homes only) for $14,489

Interested in a future battery? The above systems are battery ready and it's possible to add an AC coupled battery.
Today a Tesla Powerwall 2 with 13.5kWh, and a backup gateway (the capability to run critical circuits like fridge, lights and internet router during a blackout), costs around $13,500 fully installed.

REC Alpha and Solaredge

Solaredge is a large global inverter manufacturer with a support and service organisation in Australia.
Solaredge offers a more shade tolerant technology using per panel DC optimisers.

Interested in a future battery? Optionally upgrade before installation to a Solaredge Storedge SE5000 inverter for an additional $720. This inverter is a battery ready hybrid inverter with backup capability to run critical circuits (fridge, lights and internet router) during a blackout once you add a battery.
Today an LG Chem 9.8kWh (9.3 kWh usable) RESU HV battery, a DC coupled battery suitable for the Storedge SE5000 inverter, costs around $9,657 fully installed. Up to 2 batteries can be installed on the Storedge SE5000 inverter.

Interested in a future EV? Optionally upgrade before installation to a Solaredge SE5000HD-EV inverter for an additional $660. This inverter has an integrated smart EV charger (and smartphone app) which can charge, using your surplus solar generation, your EV (Tesla, Nissan LEAF, Hyundai Ioniq, Hyundai Kona etc.) or PHEV (Mitsubishi Outlander, Volvo XC60 etc.) once you add the appropriate Solaredge EV charge cable. Bother type 1 and type 2 EV cables are supported at various lengths.

Consumption Monitoring

All configurations above include either Fronius or Solaredge consumption monitoring. We think it's essential to monitor your home electricity consumption (using an app on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer) to know when to best use your appliances and maximise the use of your solar electricity and minimise your electricity bills. It will also provide the data needed to appropriately size a future battery.
