Although installing a grid connected battery doesn't make financial sense yet, i.e. most people won't save enough money by doing so within the life of their battery warranty, some people want to install a battery anyway.  The reasons include minimising how much they pay electricity retailers, or to provide a level of backup during a power outage.  Local Power has installed a number of high quality LG Chem batteries on SolarEdge inverters.

Local Power went to take a look at the new Tesla Model 3.  This is the first one in a showroom in Brisbane, and one of the first few in Australia.  Unfortunately it was left hand drive so sadly no test drives.  Click here for all the photos

In 2018 Local Power is celebrating 10 years of selecting and installing quality solar PV products. Quality can only be proven with time. ​

​this initial 18 panel (3kW) system was turned on 10 years ago this week on this West End home, after Energex changed the meter. The generation results are in (including any downtimes for the upgrades, blackouts, inverter repairs under warranty etc.)
